Doug Crowder


Vice Admiral Doug Crowder is Chief Operating Officer for Kestrel.
Prior to his retirement from Naval service, he was as the Deputy Chief of Naval Operations for Operations, Plans and Strategy (N3/N5),
the senior advisor to the Chief of Naval Operations on joint operations and strategies, strategic planning, international politico-military matters, and security assistance.

 

Admiral Crowder has commanded at sea at every level, including command of USS KIDD (DDG-993), USS ABRAHAM LINCOLN CARRIER STRIKE GROUP, and the US SEVENTH FLEET. Additionally, he served as Commander, Combined Support Group Indonesia, during the 2004-05 tsunami relief operations.

 

Ashore, Admiral Crowder served 10 different assignments in the Pentagon including duty on the Joint Staff, Secretary of the Navy's staff, and seven tours on the CNO's staff (OPNAV), most in the politico-military and strategic planning arena. He also served as the Executive Assistant to the Commander-in-Chief, US PACIFIC FLEET.

 

Admiral Crowder is a 1974 graduate of the US Naval Academy. In 1980, he was selected an Olmsted Scholar and studied European Economic and Political Affairs at the University of Lausanne, Switzerland.
